Mohamed Salah’s Next Career Move Takes Shape as Trabzonspor Near Agreement After Reported Contract Demand

Mohamed Salah’s future appears to be moving closer to a resolution, with reports suggesting that Turkish club Trabzonspor are now close to completing a deal for the Liverpool legend after reportedly overtaking rivals Besiktas in the race for his signature.

The Egyptian forward has been searching for his next destination after it became clear earlier this year that his long and successful relationship with Liverpool would come to an end during the summer transfer window.

The development reportedly caused Besiktas to pause their negotiations while Trabzonspor moved into a stronger position.

Further reports suggested that Salah’s representatives had communicated specific conditions during discussions with Trabzonspor. One of the reported requests involved a share of shirt sales generated from his arrival at the club.

According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Salah’s representatives informed Trabzonspor that a percentage between 20 and 25 per cent of shirt sales would be considered acceptable.

The proposal is believed to be part of negotiations between both parties, with Trabzonspor reportedly open to accepting the arrangement if the request is formally confirmed.

A move for Salah would represent a major statement from Trabzonspor. The Turkish club would be securing the services of a player who has been among the world’s most consistent attacking talents for nearly a decade.

His arrival would also bring enormous commercial value. Salah remains one of football’s most recognisable figures, with a huge international following across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
