ANDONI IRAOLA has reportedly been presented with a job offer from inside the Premier League.

The Spanish tactician announced earlier this week that he will leave Bournemouth when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Speculation about where the 43-year-old’s career could take him next immediately kicked into high gear.

SunSport has already exclusively revealed that Crystal Palace fancy making the Spaniard their new boss to replace the outgoing Oliver Glasner.

And according to Spanish outlet Marca, he has a lucrative offer on the table from the Cherries’ Prem rivals.

They claim that Palace have reached out to the manager with a “long-term, well-paid project” to coax him to South London.

Iraola is said to be expected to make his response to the ‘multi-million pound’ deal in the coming days.

The Eagles are preparing for a managerial exit of their own after Glasner was revealed not to be extending his stay at Selhurst Park at the end of the current campaign.

Palace could make sense as potential suitors for Iraola, whose overachievement with Bournemouth fits the bill as the South Londoners look to build on their FA Cup triumph and Conference League ambitions.

Bournemouth, who currently sit 11th in the Prem table, are still in the hunt for a European tour of their own, sitting just three points off Chelsea in sixth.

Iraola masterminded a win over Mikel Arteta‘s Arsenal last weekend, following a draw against high-flying Manchester United, to keep their hopes alive.

Since arriving at the Vitality Stadium in 2023, Iraola has led the side to 12th and 9th place finishes in the league, improving on a 15th place finish from the year prior.

His performances have led to a number of suitors being linked with a move for him now he is confirmed to be on the market.

One popular shout has been as a long-term replacement at United, should Michael Carrick not impress enough to justify a new contract.

He has also been linked to a return to Spain with boyhood club Athletic Bilbao.

The Basque manager started his playing career with the club and went on to make over 400 appearances for the first-team.

Bournemouth are now in the market for a replacement, with Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna reported to be in the mix alongside Bundesliga veteran Marco Rose.

Michael Carrick has done a stellar job at Manchester United since he took over from Rúben Amorim as the club’s head coach for the remainder of the campaign.

Having taken over while United were sat outside the Champions League spots, the Reds are now third in the Premier League, with Carrick having secured seven wins across his 11 fixtures.

However, after winning five of his first six games, United’s results have tailed off a little: two wins, two losses, and one draw in their last five, including a recent crushing 2-1 loss against Leeds United on Monday evening.

While Carrick is focused on securing Champions League football for the Reds next campaign, United are turning their attention to who could be managing the squad next summer, with Carrick firmly in the mix.

Iraola high on United’s shortlist

On Tuesday afternoon, news broke that highly-rated Spanish manager Andoni Iraola will be departing Bournemouth at the end of the season, with the Cherries releasing an official statement to confirm.

At 43 years old, Iraola has established himself as a very competent and competitive manager in the Premier League, and his impending departure has already alerted a number of Premier League sides.

According to iSport, clubs such as Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Newcastle are possible destinations for the Spaniard, who is more likely to stay in England than to return to Spain should the right opportunity arise.

Further, it’s noted that although sources within Old Trafford have claimed the club were close to offering Carrick the role on a permanent basis, Iraola’s confirmed availability is set to prompt them to reconsider their options.

United will talk with Iraola this summer

It has long been stated that the Reds will conduct a thorough search for their new manager and will conduct extensive background checks and interviews with potential candidates before reaching a conclusion.

Carrick’s time at the club since January has put him firmly in the race for the full-time job, although the recent wobble in form has created calls for the club to make sure they do not get too trigger-happy with their appointment.

Other major names, such as Carlo Ancelotti and Thomas Tuchel, are likely out of the running due to national team commitments, which makes it more likely that United will approach Iraola once the season ends.

The club are known to be looking for managers with Premier League experience, something the Spaniard has in abundance.
