Ransom Canyon ending explained: Do Staten and Quinn get together in Season 2?
Ransom Canyon Season 2 saw Quinn O’Grady return with a new love interest – but does it last?
Ransom Canyon fans will be losing their minds over the latest will-they-won’t-they storyline.
The Western romance is back on Netflix with Season 2 and the latest outing sees Quinn O’Grady (played by Minka Kelly) return from her time in New York with some surprising news.
Oliver (Ben Robson) is the musician Quinn fell for during her six months away, and he travelled to Ransom Canyon with marriage on his mind.
But the proposal was not an easy decision for Quinn, who still very much had Staten (Josh Duhamel) on her mind.
The second season saw Quinn constantly toing and froing between her two loves, leaving fans desperate to know who she ended up with.
Here is all you need to know about what happened at the end of Ransom Canyon Season 2.
What happened to Quinn and Oliver?
Following Oliver’s proposal, he reluctantly agreed to try and get to know Staten better, inviting him to a family dinner.
However, they very quickly realised they were in competition and there was clear animosity between them.
Oliver eventually confronted Staten and told him to let Quinn go, but sadly for him, he could see Quinn was not committed to their relationship.
He packed his bags before Quinn could make a decision, saying he knew deep down he wasn’t the man for her, and he went back to New York.
Do Staten and Quinn get together?
Staten and Quinn had a turbulent storyline in Season 2, especially after Staten tricked Quinn into spending the night with him.
He deliberately caused her car to break down so they were forced to spend the night together in a motel, but it backfired when Quinn found out what he had done and was furious.
In a final attempt to profess his love, he had told her he had once written her a letter explaining his true feelings many years ago, but it never reached her.
Towards the end of the season, Staten had given up hope and told Quinn they could never be together, which left Quinn heartbroken.
She confronted her mother about whether Staten really had delivered a letter to their house all those years ago, and her mother admitted she had intercepted the letter as she didn’t want Staten to destroy her dreams.
Realising it was not her place to decide on her daughter’s future, she told Quinn to pursue a relationship with Staten, as it was what she had always wanted.
Quinn decided to meet Staten at the secluded barn, where they finally kissed and let out their supressed feelings and ending the season as an ‘unofficial’ couple.
What happened between Sidney, Ellie and Yancy?
Away from the Quinn and Staten storyline, the end of the season also saw criminal Sidney (Heidi Grace Engerman) flee Ransom Canyon, but not without causing chaos.
After she was double-crossed by her ex, Yancy Grey (Jack Schumacher), and his new partner, Ellie Estevez (Marianly Tejada) in the oil scheme, she wanted her revenge and ended up pushing a heavily pregnant Ellie off the porch.
While both Ellie and her baby were safe, it had lasting effects on Ellie, who denied Yancy the right to see the baby again, saying he brought danger wherever he went.
Meanwhile, Sidney disappeared and at the end of the season, police were still struggling to track her down.
