With the NBA and college basketball seasons starting, it’s not just the men in the James family who are busy on the field. LeBron James’ wife, Savannah James, was recently attending their daughter, Zhuri’s, football game.
In a video shared on Savannah’s Instagram Story, Zhuri is seen playing quarterback for her team. The clip shows her running the ball and scoring a touchdown, with Savannah and the crowd erupting in excitement as they celebrate her big play.
This is the first time a video of Zhuri James playing football has appeared online. She has previously shown her athletic side before through volleyball, where her family has often been spotted cheering her on from the sidelines.

Last year, LeBron James shared that Zhuri had joined the City Volleyball Club as a volleyball player through a social media post. Since then, he has also shown that she wore A’ja Wilson’s signature sneakers during one of her volleyball games.
LeBron James’ wife wishes daughter on 11th birthday
On October 22, Zhuri James celebrated her 11th birthday. Her mom, Savannah James, shared a touching message on Instagram along with a photo.
“🥳🥳🥳It’s the girl’s birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉 11 years have flown by, but in all the most amazing ways. So smart, so creative, so confident in herself in ways I couldn’t fathom at this age. For that I’m soooo proud. My growth and the absolute necessity to continue, is because of this one! Happiest Birthday Zhuri Nova!!!🎉🥳🎂🎈🎈🎈,” Savannah captioned her post.
The message quickly went viral, gathering hundreds of thousands of likes. Fans and friends filled the comments with birthday wishes for Zhuri.

LeBron James didn’t plan a big celebration this year since the NBA season had just kicked off. He was busy with the LA Lakers’ season opener against the Golden State Warriors on October 21. Although he was sidelined, he was still present at the Crypto.com Arena to support his team.
Zhuri’s 10th birthday the year before was even more memorable for the family. Her big day happened to fall right when the Lakers started their 2024–2025 season, marking a historic moment as LeBron James shared the court with his son Bronny for the first time. Together, they became the first father and son to play in the NBA at the same time.
